💪 Today, I had my first workout at F45 gym in M

💪 Today, I had my first workout at F45 gym in Midtown, Sacramento. I arrived at 10:00 to check in and had temperature check. The class session called Hollywood class has to last for an hour which is a little bit longer than the usual 45 minutes per session. I was impressed by the different equipments and how they maintain their place. ⚡️The workouts were divided into different stations and exercises. The coach will show and demonstrate the different workout activities before you start the actual workout. There were two big TV screens that served as a a guide with proper instructions and demonstration on how to do the exercise. The staff were all polite and accomodating. 😀It was a fun and very enjoyable workout. 👩🏻‍⚕️ICU Life Update: I love being an ICU nurse and taking care of critical conditioned patients. But sometimes there are some reasons why I don’t like doing it on nightshifts and these are the following: ▫️Taking patients to CT scan, MRI ( especially those with 10 drips, ventilated). ▫️Patients on NICOM protocol which means doing NICOM 4x every hour. ▫️Patients on CIWA protocol, agitated, restless and not sedated and on BIPAP, meaning you can’t restraint them. 🌚Unfortunately, these are the kind of patients I usually get every single time I work... ( hahaha...). There was a time when I made three (3) trips on CT scan for a trauma patient. I have to order an enclosure bed for a patient who constantly climbing out of the bed and do NICOM for patients who are already vasopressor. 🩺These are some of the things I do at the ICU. It’s actually difficult because it’s really a part of the job at the unit but sometimes I asked myself why am I still doing these things? thinking that I have a choice to change into a different assignment, but I still chose to stay. I sometimes come to think of it and realized that it’s not always what you want to do that made you a strong person and successful at the same time. 🌸Sometimes one has to do what she/ he hates to do to realized that facing challenges can make one grow up and become a better, courageous and strong individual. Loving what you hate to do is making one learns to be flexible and be optimistic of what lies ahead. As an ICU nurse, I am exposed to this scenario daily and must always be ready and learn to put myself into it and face whatever life has to offer at the ICU either good or bad and consider them all part of the job. For those inspiring and new nurses, these challenges will always be a part of the job. Learn to accept them, have strong faith in God by believing that you can be an instrument of living a hopeful and joyful life, learn to be tough from it and enjoy every moment of it because you have become part of making other people’s lives from miserable to a more meaningful, useful and productive individuals.

💕 I had a very productive day today. This morning, attended a dance class workout at the park. Then after this I started to upload some tiktok videos. At last, I learned how to combine images and videos in one clip. Then I baked some cookies with my daughter Stephanie and had dinner with my family. I am now uploading new videos on my youtube channel. 🦋I had a lot of realization this time of pandemic and one most important that I realized is no matter how hard life is, how busy you are in performing your duties as a parent and as a nurse as its my job still we must have time for ourselves. 🌟Listening to your heart to the things that you love to do, your passion is one best way of expressing who you are what you want in life and what you enjoy doing even if it is nothing or non sense for orhers for as long as you are experiencing and feeling the joys and happiness of life do it. It’s been a long time that I haven’t posted anything on my blog. I was so busy with my work on attending to Corona Positive patients which need to sign up for extra shift because of too many number of patients that needs immediate and extra attention and care. ⠀ March 2020- We had the first COVID 19 positive patient in our unit. We also have Patients under investigation (PUI). I should say there was a ratio of 1:1 as to attending nurse in a patient. We don’t recycle our PPE’s. We converted some rooms to negative pressure rooms. 🌟I started dancing last December 2019. It was not that long yet but I learned so much from joining the dance fitness group called @physiquedancefitness. I’m doing it every day off from work. I love singing more than dancing when I was younger. I can’t believe I will love dancing too at my age. ⠀ 🤽🏻‍♀️I was never a dancer ever since. During my high school days I am an active member of the glee club in school where talent in singing is the best qualification though a little of dancing too. I am also a member if the library club because I love to read books. Well, I’m not the sporty type but I love to join cheerdancing during sportsfestival in our school. ⠀ 🎗Now, I am starting to enjoy dancing for the reason that I want to be physically fit and healthy. Dancing is a cardio form of exercise. It keeps my heart rate in good condition. It also made me sweat a lot which helps maintain blood sugar. The choreography in dancing makes my brain works for each step I need to execute. Hello friends! Finally I’m backand ready to answer some of your questions. I’m just too busy these past few days. Thank you for all your participation. I feel glad and hope this way we will be able to establish rapport and get connected more often in social media. ⠀ @iam.chelrich: “Gaano ka na po katagal sa abroad? May balak ka po bang umuwi sa Pilipinas?” -I arrived in U.S.A. in 2015. It’s been five years. I worked in Saudi Arabia for six(6) years and another five (5) years here in the U.S. I should say eleven(11) long years abroad.I am taking my vacation in the Philippines yearly during those times. I still have plans of visiting Philippines but I can’t say exactly when because of the pandemic. My last visit was last 2018. ⠀ @Giggdoll16: “ What’s one of yout favorite foods?” - Well I love to eat! Sinigang, Adobo and Tinolang manok are just some of my favorite Filipino dishes of course with rice. ⠀ @yeshalarez: “Hello po, I’m Ayesha. How do you maintain you body po? Ang fit at ang sexy nyo po kasi. - Thank you! I exercise 2-3 times a week. I’m doing this during my days off or sometimes after or before work depending on my schedule. 🤗 It’s been a busy week for me in the ICU. We had multiple rapid response calls, code blues and full trauma activations for the past couple of nights. The in-and-out movement between ED, medsurge and ICU floors were unbelievable! ⠀ 🤢Since we started admitting corona positive patients in our unit, I’ve had to take extra precautions. I wear a mask, eye protection and head cap most of the time when caring for my patients, regardless whether they’re positive or waiting for their results, so I’ve had to wash my hair more often lately, including before and after work. At work, I keep my hair ponytailed inside my head cap the whole shift. ⠀ 🥀 All of these safe practices can be rough on hair, making it dry, brittle and generally unhealthy.
